ABOUT SHINY RUST PROMOTIONS

Growing up in and around the Metro Detroit area, (aka the Motor City) as a kid, Shiny Rust Promotions founder, Randy Adam, would accompany his dad to stock car races and an occasional drag race. Randy took to those adventures with a full passion and would collect pop bottles to go and buy model cars to build as his version of ‘hands on’ building cars. That is where it all started basically…from there, the love for hot rods, horsepower and the excitement that goes with it never left his blood.

After a long and successful career in the music business, Randy returned to his love of hot rods when he was asked in 2017 to coordinate a car show at the Faster Horses Festival at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan, now known as ‘The Hustle & Muscle Classic Car n Truck Show”.

The success of that show prompted Randy to create a name for his new venture. He wanted to have an ‘ear-catching name’ and after numerous ideas, the Shiny Rust Promotions name kept peeking to the top. Since then, Shiny Rust Promotions has grown exponentially to put on and coordinate classic car and hot rod shows throughout SE Michigan, such as the Marysville Hot Wheels Weekend, Swartz Creek Hometown Days, and the St. Clair County Fair’s classic car show, just to name a few, with also continuing with the Hustle & Muscle to this very day.

In 2022, Shiny Rust teamed up with Funfest Events to create spectacular car shows at both the Uncle Sam Jam in Woodhaven, and the Father’s Day car show at the Summerfest in Marysville. In 2024, Shiny Rust and Funfest have teamed up to bring a brand new indoor car show to Oakland County with the “Shiny Rust Hot Rod Spectacular” debuting in November of 2025.

Each and every year Shiny Rust Promotions continues to grow, adding more shows in Michigan and now even looking for the potential of expanding to host regional show(s).
